GPON SFP is an ITU-T G.984 ONT designed to deliver IP-based data. SFP is designed with small form factor packaging that can connect to customer premises (CPE) or a mobile base station. It integrates the bidirectional optical receiver function and the GPON MAC function. One optical fiber transmits upstream and downstream traffic through the GPON between the OLT and ONT. SFP is fully prepared and managed with OLT using PLOAM / OMCI
